Belgrade Bike Tours

Biking culture is widespread all over the world, and capital cities worldwide are very well known for enabling and encouraging cycling and biking tours. This is not really the case when it comes to Serbia and Belgrade. At least not up to the global scale. However, biking is getting more popular, and the city has done quite a bit to encourage the biking culture.

Dealing with traffic

Firstly, note that you can easily rent a bike to enjoy your Belgrade bike tour. Afterwards, all you need to do is let go, feel the city buzz and allow it to lead you on your discovery path. But (!) keep in mind that in the midst of the traffic jam, you should be cautious as not all the drivers will be horribly understanding of your adventure. Just focus and try to get out of the traffic collapse, if you get into one as soon as possible.

The Casual Route

If all this city center traffic might just be too much of a “city buzz” for you, there are plenty routes to take to sightsee while getting your fitness up in a more surrounding. If you are new in town, we strongly recommend heading towards the river where you can rent a bike and get on some pretty awesome trails.

This way you can check out some of the key spots in the city, such as Ušće, the confluence of Sava and Danube river, Zemunski kej – the quay on Danube, Ada Ciganlija, 25. maj. Biking trails connect all these spots, so your ride will  be relaxing and stress free. If the weather is right, biking by the river with breeze in your hair will completely refresh you.  Don’t forget to keep hydrated and take breaks if you need to. There are plenty of cafees and river bars where you can rest and recharge. Who knows – maybe you inspire some local to dust of their bike.
