After a long time, Plato again works again! Located at Platou in front of the Faculty of Philosophy, it has 120 seats on the ground floor and two galleries, one for non-smokers and 120 seats in the garden.
Interior is signed by architect Aleksandar Vidić. The first thing you notice when you enter Plato is a round mirror above the bar around whom, as manager Nenad Belincevic says, moss in hibernation. “Regular watering, this moss survives on the wall for about five years.” In the space dominated by wood, and the style itself in the interior is a combination of insurrection and modern design.
Especially in this restaurant is the offer of Mocktail, non-alcoholic cocktails made from fresh ingredients. For their preparation, as well as for the preparation of alcoholic cocktails, the main bartender Milan Pavlovic is in charge. On the cocktail list, says Milan, there is no classic, but he can make them at the guest’s request. The kitchen is international, with several homemade dishes prepared in a modern way. On the menu are burgers, sandwiches and tortillas, pizzas, pastas and risotto. From the offer are smoked sausages, black risotto with porcini, squid, garlic, leek and dipping ink and dried plums stuffed with cheese and nuts. Breakfast is served until 13:00, and guests are offered various kinds of omelets, sausages, kajmak from Potočara … The wine house is Lastar, and with the exception of Serbian wines, the wine list also includes labels from France, Italy, Spain.
