Her name is Bojana and she handcrafts fine porcelain tableware using clay from Limoges, France. It’s been a fifteen-year long journey behind that. Bojana fell in love with the art of ceramics as a student of Chinese language and literature by discovering the minimalist ideal of beauty of the Far East, contrasts and harmony of solid and fragile. This proved to be the perfect introduction to porcelain.
All of her work is handmade. Bojana uses fine porcelain clay body and pigments acquired from all over the world which she mix with glazes in order to get pastel or vibrant colors she wants. Also, Bojana color porcelain clay body or use porcelain colored slip to make pieces.
Bojana uses fine French porcelain from Limoges. Pigments and glazes are acquired from all over the world – from Belgrade, Hungary, Germany or the USA. She applies liquid 24K gold made by German company Heraeus. She also recycles porcelain whenever possible.
