Cafe Bar Sixteen
Caffe Bar “Sixteen” is, apparently, like another in a series of Belgrade cafes. However, besides the desire that our guests feel good, our mission is much more exciting. And more responsible.
The “Sixteen” is a social enterprise initiated by the Center for Integration of Young People (CIM), a citizens’ association from Belgrade that has been advocating for greater social integration of children involved in life and / or street work, and for creating a support system for every vulnerable a child. “Sixteen” helps CIM to improve the sustainability of its programs.
People mostly recognize us at the Children’s Home. The inn provides support to children involved in street and street life, as well as those at risk of becoming. The services of inns are used by hundreds of boys and girls, aged 5 to 15, who mostly come from the Roma population.
“Sixteen” helps the employment of former users of the inn, providing children and youth between 16 and 19 years of training and practice for waiters and bartenders. “Sixteen” gives them the opportunity to forever leave a group of social assistance beneficiaries.
We want them to become a model for other children, the current beneficiaries of the Initiation.
